Round Face
If your face shape is rounder than most, keep in mind: LINES. Keep your earrings long, angular, and curved. Dangling earrings, Chandelier earrings, and any oblong and oval shaped earrings will suit this face shape the most. Squarish and rectangular shapes are also complimenting. But stay away from studs and hoops, they emphasize the roundness.
Heart Face
When you’re shopping for earrings, look out for ones that are wider at the bottom. Common patterns would be tear drops, triangular shapes, or chandeliers. Circular earrings will work as well, and so will pyramid styles. Stay away from heart shape earrings or very short ones too.
Oval Face
Most styles go great with this shaped face. Try experimenting with abstract styles, and mix it up a bit. Anything from studs to ovals to teardrops work for you. Just avoid anything too long or thin (like threader earrings), they aren’t as complimenting.
Square Face
When you have a square face, look for earrings that soften up the face shape. Avoid harsh angles or square shapes. Stick to round hoops or any earrings that are curved. Also teardrops, drop earrings, or any other long earrings give length to your face.
Long Face
When shopping for earrings, stick to studs or chandelier style earrings. 3-D styles usually add fullness to your face. Circular, triangular or square earrings will widen your face. So just remember to avoid flat or dangling earrings.
