New Jewelry Designs by Michelle Trachtenberg for Coach

New cutting edge jewelry line from Coach will have them all standing in line. We love these new jewelry designs!

News & Trends: Michelle Trachtenberg may be one of Hollywood’s hardest working actresses. The star of Gossip Girl and Mercy has teamed up with Poppy from Coach to create her first jewelry collection.

The Michelle Trachtenberg for Poppy collection is as multi-faceted as Michelle’s roles, combining pretty gemstones with chunky hardware. Poppy describes the look as “confident yet romantic, rockin’ yet refined.”

The collection is filled with colorful Swarovski crystals handset in Coach’s signature hardware.

Each item is a statement in itself including rings, earrings, chunky multi-strand necklaces and cuff-style bracelets.

Personally, I love the Jackie O pearls meets Mr. T, “Pearl and Chain Necklace” combo that perfectly reflects a hardcore girly-girl.

Jewelry gets a boost at SAG Awards

Los Angeles–From black-and-white diamond combination to snake designs to turquoise, there seemed to be no parameters for the jewelry-wearing starlets who made the red-carpet rounds at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

The SAG Awards, which took place Saturday, and were broadcast live from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center, were the second key award event of the season, following fast on the heels of the Golden Globe awards. In both cases, jewelry designers and stylists took full advantage of the moment to put jewelry on the red carpet.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Create Designer Jewelry Collection

Taking time off from expanding their rainbow nation of children, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have taken to designing pieces of jewelry.

The celebrity duo have designed “The Protector” collection featuring a snake with Asprey, to benefit children of conflict. The collection is set to go on sale later this week, according to sources.

Prices start at $525 for a silver baby spoon with a curving, serpent-shaped handle, and all net proceeds from sales will go to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which was cofounded by Jolie in 2006. The charity raises awareness and funds to educate child victims of war, conflict and natural disasters.

Jolie was quoted as saying, “These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place – to just be children. Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school.”

Jolie has also attributed the serpent theme to a ring she was given in the shape of a snake, when she was pregnant with Shiloh. She’s since considered the serpent a talisman and protector of her family.

Ivanka Trump gets married in jewels from her own line

New York–It shouldn’t come as any surprise whose jewelry Ivanka Trump wore the other night when she walked down the aisle to marry newspaper owner and fellow real estate scion Jared Kushner. Why, her own, of course.

The Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry owner, who married Kushner in a private ceremony at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., wore a custom Vera Wang gown and $265,000 in jewels from Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, including a custom-designed, platinum and mixed-cut diamond hair piece, platinum and mixed-cut diamond cluster earrings and an art deco platinum and fancy-link diamond estate bracelet.

The hair piece, valued at $45,000, accented Trump’s veil and featured 6.38 carats of diamonds, while her $90,000 estate bracelet weighed in at 26 carats of diamonds. It was her hefty earrings, though, that carried the heaviest price tag: $130,000 for the 9.67-carat total-weight stunners.

32-Carat Annenberg Diamond Sells for $7.7 Million in NYC Auction

The famous 32.01 square Annenberg diamond sold at auction to an unnamed phone buyer on Wednesday. The diamond, known for it’s near-flawlessness, was bought by Leonore Annenberg for her 90th birthday. She died in March at age 91. Christie’s auction house had the gem delivered to her by armed guards in celebration of her birthday.

Annenberg served as the US Chief of Protocol during the Presidency of Ronald Reagan, a position that granted her diplomatic status. Her husband, Walter Annenberg, was a billionaire who was both a publisher and the Ambassador to England under Richard Nixon. The Annenberg name gave the diamond even further importance. Richard Annenberg died in 2002.

The Emerald-Cut diamond is set in a ring designed by New York jeweler David Webb, who flanked the center walnut-sized stone with pear-shaped diamonds, one weighing 1.61 carats, and the other 1.51 carats. Although Christie’s set the pre-sale estimate for the masterpiece at $3-$5 million, it was clearly coveted by many, and well exceeded expectations.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: The Entertainment Wedding of the Year

As if their millions of fans collectively willed it — the blistering-hot young actors are truly, madly, deeply in love. So much so that they’re spending nights together in Rob’s suite at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Center. And things have gotten so serious that on-set sources say the young superstars are even playing up their romance on set.

It is set to be the “Wedding of the Year”. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be exchanging wedding rings. And a cast of hundreds are working hard, around the clock, to finalize all of the details. The even will more than likely be flooded with the most amazing jewelry featuring diamonds, pearls, rubies, emeralds and sapphires. Oh and lets definitely not forget the sheer tonnage of gold jewelry that will also be on display.

But before teenage girls have a collective meltdown, this is the wedding between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”. As yet, the young stars have not made public any plans to marry in real life. Nonetheless, designers ranging from Monique Lhullier to Christian Siriano have sent in designs, hoping theirs is chosen as the perfect dress and fine jewelry for one of the most anticipated weddings of a human lifetime.
